My New Years Resolutions

Hey, everyone! I hope you all had a very wonderful New Years! Wishing you all success and happiness in 2014! I know this isn't necessarily related to fashion or beauty, but I thought I'd take a little  time to share my New Years Resolutions! I was late on the sentimental Facebook/Instagram New Years posts bandwagon, so I figured this would be a great place to write my final thoughts on 2013 and my plans moving into 2014!
2013 was no doubt an excellent, but difficult, year. I finished up my freshman year of college on the Dean's List, and enjoyed one of the best summers I've had with friends and family back home. Returning to school was hard; my workload hit me right away, and I was constantly under so much stress that I was homesick quite often. It took me a few months to adjust and really come to appreciate my major all over again! As much of a wake up call as that was, I am so thankful for the past semester, as it has brought back some of the passion and determination for my future career that I lost getting distracted by college life. The last few months of 2013 have forced me to grow up so much, and while I had to sacrifice many weekends of having a social life and being a regular college kid, I know it will pay off!
Moving into 2014, I have such an optimistic feeling about what's to come for me. As much as my friends have made fun of me, I've made the decision to become a pescatarian. This is almost like going vegetarian, except I will still include seafood in my diet! (I'm not hardcore enough to go completely vegetarian.) I made this decision based on multiple factors, but mainly the amount of processing meat in this country goes through. My goal is to try it out and continue until I move to Italy! So far, so good! I tell myself every year that I'm going to improve my body and health even more, but this year I'm really making it a focus to live as cleanly and healthily as I can! I want to start my European adventure feeling like the best version of myself, physically and mentally. I wish the same for everyone; I hope the new year brings you much health and happiness! Let's strive to make it the best one yet! xoxo
